California Spill Response Kit
California Code of Regulations
Title 14, Division 1, Subdivision 4
Office of Oil Spill Prevention and Response
Chapter 3. Oil Spill Prevention and Response Planning
Subchapter 4. Oil Spill Contingency Plans, Nontank Vessels
Sections 825.01 - 827.02
Amended December 23, 2000
Link
The above regulation requires nontank vessels in excess of 300 gross tons to carry a seven-barrel spill kit for on-deck spills when conducting bunkering operations in California marine waters. Our spill kit meets these requirements. It contains sufficient sorbent to absorb seven barrels of oil, booming material to keep spills from going overboard, deck cleaning agent, a non-sparking 18 gpm portable pump, and a portable container suitable for holding seven barrels of recovered solid or liquid waste. Additionally, each kit contains instructions for cleaning deck spills, including identifying which spill kit items are most appropriate for the type of oil spilled.
Click here for more information on ordering these spill kits.
