You've probably heard the saying, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." This is especially true when it comes to emergency preparedness and crisis management. No one knows better how to avoid this pitfall than The O'BRIEN'S Group. We will show you how to integrate external resources and apply valuable approaches gained from years of actual response management and plan writing experience. We will guide you through a logical seven-step planning process, giving your people the benefit of years of experience.
Unfortunately, too many plans are written only to comply with regulations, and are not easy to implement - or even effective. Don't wait for an emergency to find out how good your plan really is. The O'BRIEN'S Group will help you assess your plan before you need to use it. Our unique review protocols let us quickly and effectively evaluate the functionality and "real world" practicality of any plan.
We verify response plans and can conduct in-field assessment. We develop a comprehensive draft report with practical recommendations, submit it for your review, and then issue a final report. Finally, we will recommend a variety of ways to continually improve your plan.
Seven Step Planning Process
- List all reasonably anticipated emergency situations
- Develop the worst-case scenarios for each of the identified situations
- Describe the needed resources and personnel
- Identify sources for needed external resources and personnel
- Revise and/or develop the Emergency Response Plan
- Conduct training on the revised plan
- Exercise the revised plan
Having completed the plan or revised an existing plan, conducted the necessary training and held an exercise, lessons learned should be incorporated back into the plan and the process repeated periodically.
