The O'BRIEN'S team represents a vast amount of emergency response and management experience. The organization is comprised of diverse education and work backgrounds, which adds strength and capabilities to the overall team. Members include individuals with work experience from the U.S. Coast Guard, state agencies, petrochemical industry and emergency response contractors. Formal education of our team members includes degrees in fire protection, safety management, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental science and business administration.
We have extensive experience in designing and conducting exercises (tabletop, functional and full-scale) in accordance with several types of exercise programs. For example, we utilize the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) for designing Bio-terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and other Homeland Security Exercises. For oil and hazardous substance emergency response exercises, we design and conduct the exercises in accordance with the National Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (NPREP). In addition, we have developed exercises utilizing the Department of Transportation’s Guidelines for Spill Response involving pipelines and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Comprehensive Exercise Program (CEP) for all-risk exercises. We are knowledgeable with several types of exercise design protocols and routinely utilize the appropriate program required by the exercise scope.
The following are a few of the exercises that we have completed in recent years:
